Just days before starting their World Cup 2018 campaign, Belgium continue their preparation with a friendly encounter against Costa Rica, which they comfortably won 4-1.
However, there’s a concerning situation for Red Devils’ fans as their star man, Eden Hazard was seen limping off the pitch after 70 minutes following a collusion.
Knowing that the tournament is just days away, even a medium level injury could be seen as a concern, but apparently Belgium camp are not worry as their head coach, Roberto Martinez ensured that there’s nothing too serious with Hazard’s injury.
Acknowledging the importance of Hazard for his team, Martinez tried to calm things down, stating that despite experiencing a little problem with his leg, there’s nothing worrying regarding the Chelsea winger’s condition.
Moreover, the former Everton boss added that he also enjoyed his skipper’s performance on that tie as the 27-year-old looked sharp and simply putting on an excellent display.
For now, Martinez’s statement is certainly a comforting thing for Belgium supporters as they certainly not keen on losing an important and influential figure just before the tournament even start.
Recent injury problems suffered by several national teams, obviously becomes a reference point that anything can simply happens even if teams already prepare themselves in the most cautious way ahead of their participation in Russia 2018.
