Chelsea did started off well as they went one up after just five minutes thanks to an own goal from Fikayo Tomori, but it was replied rather quick with Jack Marriott equalizing four minutes later.
Another own goal from Richard Keogh on 21 minutes helped the home side regained their advantage, but their opponent were not there just for fun as they kept on battling back and once again drew level, this time from Martyn Waghorn’s effort on 27 minutes.
However, The Blues’ extra quality was finally on shown as just before half time break they got in front again when Cesc Fabregas scored to make it 3-2 which lasted not only until the first 45 minutes, but throughout the entire second period as well.
With no goals scored in the second period, Chelsea holding down to their 3-2 victory and make their way into the quarter final of Carabao Cup, while maintaining the club’s unbeaten run in all competition so far this season.
