France Snatched World Cup 2018 Final Ticket After Edging Belgium

France national football team are close on repeating their success in winning the World Cup 20 years ago (1998) as Didier Deschamps’ men made their way into the final of this year’s tournament.

Playing in a high profile semifinal fixture, Les Blues were able to overcome Belgium 1-0 in a exciting battle which saw both teams playing nice attacking football.

Knowing that their opponent possessed plenty high quality players and dangerous on the break, France seemingly opted to play the waiting game and let Red Devils have more of the ball possession.

After such a rocking start in the first 45 minutes, Deschamps’ men finally starting to find their feet by creating dangerous goal scoring opportunities through fast paced counter attacking plays.

Nevertheless, no goals were scored by either teams during the first 45 minutes as things were really tight between the two of them.

Nothing really changed much early in the second period as France and Belgium continuing the same approach they made during the first half.

However, Les Blues got themselves a breakthrough when Samuel Umtiti headed home from a corner on 51 minutes, giving his side a 1-0 lead.

That goal stunned the Belgium as they tried hard to get themselves back into the match, but unlike previous matches, Roberto Martinez’s men looked lacking a bit of ideas in breaking down their opponent.

Playing heavily on the counter after going one goal up, Les Blues actually created couple of chances in the end, which they failed to convert.

Still, that slender goal proved to be more than enough to secure maximum result for Deschamps’ boys as they hold down that advantage until the final whistle was blown.
