The Super Eagles of Nigeria played out a 1-1 draw with Algeria on Friday, November 10 to round up their impressive 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.
After an uneventful first half, the second half was similar before Ogu pounced on a poor clearance in the front of the Algerian box before picking out his spot and beating the goalkeeper from over 20 yards out.
John Ogu answers his critics with a sumptuous goal against Algeria, his first start for #Nigeria under Gernot Rohr. He’s been calmly waiting for his chance. His army of fans on Twitter will let you know ‘he’s sOgud’ 😉pic.twitter.com/cFtml7HJ8p
