English teams’ are not having the easiest drawing for this season’s UEFA Champions League, notably for Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United along with Liverpool as all three have been drawn into difficult groups.
Tottenham found themselves in group B with Spanish giant, Barcelona and Italian outfit, Inter Milan with Dutch champion, PSV Eindhoven.
Although still being considered as favorite to go through along with Barca, but should they underestimate their other opponents, things could easily go wrong for Mauricio Pochettino’s men.
Liverpool also found themselves having to face difficult opponents as Jurgen Klopp’s men got into group C, which includes the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Napoli and also Red Star Belgrade.
Obviously, PSG along with the Partenopei will be The Reds’ most intriguing opponents. but Red Star also have the potential to cause some surprises, especially when they play in front of their home crowd.
Klopp’s boys will certainly face difficult test in that group as at least the main three teams have similarly good chances of going through into the knock out stage of Champions League.
As for Man United, they got into group H along with Juventus, Valencia and Young Boys from Switzerland.
On paper, Jose Mourinho’s men can consider themselves one of the favorites to go through with Juve, but Valencia can potentially cause an upset, especially if United can’t find their best form during the group stage matches.
Another Premier League representative, Manchester City got themselves a relatively easier group as they were being drawn with Shakhtar Donetsk, Lyon and Hoffenheim in group F.
