Man City Won it Late, Disappointment for Madrid and Man United

Manchester City finally got their first win in this season’s Champions League as they defeated Bundesliga outfit, Hoffenheim 2-1, while both Real Madrid along with Manchester United couldn’t get all three points.

Keen on redeeming themselves after suffering a shock home defeat against Lyon, City were determined to overcome their opponent, but it was far from an easy task for Pep Guardiola’s men.

Instead of going in front, City found themselves trailing after just a minute through Ishak Belfodil’s effort, that brought tons of joy for the home crowd early on.

Guardiola’s men reacted positively though after going down early as they pushed forward vigorously and eventually got back on level terms with Sergio Aguero’s goal six minutes later.

Two early goals didn’t turn that tie into a fest as things suddenly became much tighter, making it though for either teams to score, until David Silva found that important winner for Man City three minutes from time.

A shocking result arrived for defending champions, Real Madrid as they were beaten 1-0 by CSKA Moscow in Russia thanks to a second minute strike from Nikola Vlasic, which lasted until the final minute of the match.

In another tie, Man United still can’t provide joy for their beloved fans as Jose Mourinho’s men were held into a goalless draw by Valencia at Old Trafford.

It was a game with full cautious as both teams didn’t seem keen on pushing vigorously until the final 10 -15 minutes, which was probably too late for either teams.

Nevertheless, getting one point is still precious for Jose Mourinho’s side as they’re sitting second with four points, behind Juventus on the top of their group.
