Manchester United got themselves back into winning path in English Premier League following a quite comfortable 2-0 away win over Burnley this Sunday.
Keen on redeeming themselves after suffering two straight league defeats, Man United immediately took the attacking initiative as they were determined in snatching early goals.
It took 27 minutes for the visitor to break the dead lock as their star striker, Romelu Lukaku scored to give his side a deserved lead.
The Belgium international continue to showcase his scoring prowess as he completed his brace just before half time break, putting his team in a strong position as they prepare for the second period.
Nothing changed much after the break, though Burnley tried harder to get themselves back into the match, but none of their efforts were successful, even when United were down to 10 men after Marcus Rashford saw red on 71 minutes.
In another tie, Tottenham Hotspur suffered their first defeat in this new league season after being stunned 2-1 by Watford.
Both teams have actually won all of their previous three matches, putting them in contention to join both Liverpool and Chelsea topping the league just before they go into international break.
After a goalless first 45 minutes, it was Tottenham that actually got themselves in front when Abdoulaye Doucoure scored an own goal on 53 minutes.
However, that lead didn’t last long as Watford got back on level terms on 69 minutes through Troy Deeney’s effort.
Eventually, the home side completed their turn around as Craig Catchcart scored on 76 minutes, which turned out as the game winner as no more goals were netted by either teams until the final whistle was blown.
Earlier, Arsenal were successful in collecting three points as they defeated Cardiff City 3-2 in a hard fought battle which saw Alexandre Lacazette scoring the all important winner nine minutes before the final 90.
