Man United Salvaged a Point, Man City Can’t Stop Winning

Manchester United picked up another disappointing result on their Premier League fixtures as Jose Mourinho’s men were held into a 2-2 draw by Southampton.

Drawing their previous league fixture against Crystal Palace, Man United were determined to grab all important three points that can get themselves going again in their hunt for top four seat.

However, things didn’t got that well for Mourinho’s men as they found themselves going one goal behind after just 13 minutes through Stuart Armstrong’s effort.

The visitor got into more trouble when Sotton went two goals ahead as Cedric Soares made it 2-0 seven minutes later.

Trailing by two goals seemingly triggered positive reaction from Man United as they were able to pull one back on 33 minutes with a goal from Romelu Lukaku, who finally ended his recent scoring drought.

Mourinho’s men finally able to get themselves back on level terms before half time break thanks to Ander Herrera’s effort on 39 minutes.

Unfortunately, no more goals were scored by either teams in the second half as that match ended in a 2-2 draw, an outcome which none of those two sides pleased with.

Meanwhile, current Premier League table topper, Manchester City are keeping their positive run after grabbing another three points after defeating Bournemouth 3-1.

Bernardo Silva opened the scoring for Pep Guardiola’s men, but that lead was canceled out just before half time break through Callum Wilson’s effort, forcing the first 45 minutes to end in a 1-1 draw.

After the break, City increased their attacking initiative and eventually able to regain their lead with a goal from Raheem Sterling on 57 minutes, before Ilkay Gundogan secured all three points with his effort on 79 minutes.
