Fear Killertunes! This was the tweet from the Starboy in 2017 that hitherto became the announcement officially dawning the genius prospect of 23-year-old super producer, Killertunes on the Nigerian music industry. Mind you, it’s not like as if he was a fresher in the scheme of things pre-Starboy era. His accolades in production range from the revered likes of Timaya, DJ Spinall, D’Banj, Banky W, Skales and even Don Jazzy.
In this exclusive TV interview with the self-acclaimed Afrobeat god, the widely touted producer of the year nominee (for the year 2018) talks about his rise to fame in the Nigerian music industry. He gives a detailed account of his Surulere story – how he journeyed down to Lagos as a teenage hustler in search of fulfillment; how DJ Spinall was particularly instrumental in his come-up, especially on this new found association he now enjoys with Africa’s international Starboy, Wizkid; and the one-time D’Banj ended his period of depression with a 4 million pay check.
Let’s not spoil the fun for you by highlighting all the juicy stuff.
