Nigerian hype man Fisayo Michael, better known as MC Fish, has finally spoken about the collapse of his marriage to actress Anita Joseph.
Naija Brain recalls that the couple tied the knot in 2020 and remained silent about their split for several months after Anita confirmed in December 2025 that their marriage had ended.
Until now, neither MC Fish nor Anita had publicly revealed what caused the breakup.
Breaking his silence in a recent video posted on his Instagram page, MC Fish admitted that both he and Anita contributed to the problems in the marriage.
According to him, neither party was innocent, as they were both involved in infidelity during the relationship.
He explained that the marriage became too toxic and emotionally draining for him to continue.
MC Fish further alleged that some of Anita’s close associates, including certain people in the entertainment industry, played roles in the crisis that rocked their union.
The media personality said he chose to leave quietly to avoid creating more public drama and embarrassment for both of them.
He also disclosed that he had moved out of their home months before news of the separation surfaced online.
According to MC Fish, he left the house in July 2025, while reports of the breakup only became public in December of the same year.
He added that after leaving the marriage, he decided to disconnect completely from everything linked to that chapter of his life.
Speaking in the video, he said:
“I have experienced cheating in marriage. Both parties cheated, and I’m not denying my own mistakes. I cheated, and she also cheated with several people. If I decide to mention names, a lot of people will be shocked.
“Some of her colleagues and friends who come online to praise her know the truth about what happened. I had to leave the marriage because I didn’t want things to get messier or become a public disgrace for both of us.
“She was the one who made the issue public. I had already left the house since July 2025 before the news came out in December. I had already moved on with my life before everything became public.
“I decided to cut off every connection and relationship tied to that marriage and start afresh. A lot of people come online to pretend and give fake advice, but I won’t do that.”
