Popular socialite and music promoter, Sam Larry, whose real name is Samson Eletu, is alive and receiving medical treatment following a road accident in Lagos State.
Naija Brain reports that his associate, Akin Abolade, popularly known as Mr Lilgaga, dismissed reports circulating on social media claiming that Sam Larry died in the crash.
Speaking with Punch, Abolade said he spoke directly with Sam Larry a few hours after the accident and confirmed that he was alive.
He, however, noted that the severity of the accident made it difficult to determine the promoter's exact medical condition at the time.
"Yes, he's alive and not dead, but his condition cannot be ascertained because of how bad the accident was. We spoke after the accident. He's alive, and I'm sure of that," he said.
Sam Larry was involved in a road accident along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road in the early hours of Saturday.
The vehicle conveying him reportedly collided with a trailer, leaving the car extensively damaged.
A video circulating on social media showed the wreckage of the vehicle at the accident scene. One of his security aides, identified simply as Wale, reportedly died at the scene of the crash.
