Laura Ikeji Warns Women Against Risky Libya Migration

Businesswoman and reality TV personality Laura Ikeji has issued a strong warning to young Nigerian women against travelling to Libya through irregular migration routes, citing the growing dangers of human trafficking and exploitation.

Speaking in a video shared on social media, Laura said she was alarmed by the number of young women expressing interest in relocating to Libya despite widespread reports of abuse, forced labour and unsafe living conditions.

She urged those seeking better opportunities abroad not to risk their lives for false promises, stressing that no opportunity is worth sacrificing one's safety and freedom.

Laura's message comes as authorities and anti-trafficking organisations continue to raise concerns over the increasing number of Nigerians falling victim to illegal migration networks that prey on vulnerable job seekers.

Her appeal has sparked conversations online, with many praising her for using her platform to highlight the dangers of irregular migration and encourage young people to explore safer, legal alternatives.
