ADEBOBOLA EGUNJOBI — MC DAVINTAGE, “THE KING OF THE SHOW”
Adebobola Egunjobi, popularly known by his stage name MC Davintage, and fondly called “The King of the Show,” is a professional event compere, actor, broadcaster, comedian, writer and media entrepreneur whose passion for entertainment has made him a sought-after personality in the Nigerian events industry.
A native of Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, Adebobola has spent almost all his life in Lagos. He is a graduate of the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, where he studied Theatre Arts, with a major in Acting.
Known for his easygoing personality, confidence, creativity and ability to connect effortlessly with people, MC Davintage combines his academic training in theatre with his natural flair for entertainment to create memorable experiences at every event he anchors.
THE JOURNEY INTO PROFESSIONAL MCING
MC Davintage's journey as a professional event compere began during his mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme in Esa-Oke, Osun State. Although he had always known from a young age that he possessed the confidence and composure required to address large audiences, his Theatre Arts background further developed and refined those abilities.
His first professional event came in 2014, when he anchored the wedding of a friend's elder sister. Although he did the job for free, the experience gave him the confidence and encouragement to pursue event compering professionally.
More than a decade later, MC Davintage has continued to build a reputation for delivering energetic, engaging and classy event experiences. He has taken his craft to different parts of Nigeria, anchoring a wide range of occasions, including weddings, birthdays, children's events, concerts, burial ceremonies, award shows, comedy shows, gala nights and corporate events.
One of his greatest strengths is his spontaneity. Rather than relying solely on rehearsed jokes or routines, he adapts his humour, energy and interactions to suit the audience, occasion and atmosphere. For him, every event is different, and every audience deserves a unique experience.
EXPERIENCE AND CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Over the years, MC Davintage has had the privilege of hosting several notable events and audiences.
One of the most memorable moments of his career was hosting a gala night organised in honour of literary icon, Professor Wole Soyinka, on the occasion of his 85th birthday. He considers the opportunity one of the defining highlights of his professional journey, particularly because of the warm reception he received from the guests and audience.
He has also hosted the end-of-year and award night of Sheraton Hotels, as well as a Lagos State Government workshop/symposium for senior civil servants.
While he continues to build on these achievements, MC Davintage remains focused on creating bigger opportunities and expanding his influence within the entertainment and media industries.
He is currently exploring partnerships and sponsorship opportunities towards establishing his own online radio platform, Davintage FM, which he envisions as another avenue to connect with audiences and showcase his versatility in broadcasting.

BEYOND EVENT MCING
MC Davintage is much more than an event compere. His background in Theatre Arts has opened doors to several other areas of the entertainment industry.
As a trained actor who majored in Acting, he has featured in movies, television series and YouTube productions, further establishing his versatility as an entertainer.
He also has a strong passion for radio and television broadcasting and has worked as a freelance broadcaster. His long-term ambition is to establish Davintage FM, his own online radio platform.
In addition, MC Davintage has explored stand-up comedy, content creation and writing. He also manages Davintage Empire, a media and promotions company focused on entertainment and related creative ventures.
LIFE OUTSIDE THE STAGE
Away from the microphone and the spotlight, MC Davintage enjoys activities that keep him creative and connected to the world around him.
His interests include reading, talking, writing, watching football and, most importantly, listening to music.
These interests continue to influence his creativity, communication style and approach to entertainment.

From his humble beginning as a young NYSC member who discovered his potential as a compere to becoming an experienced professional who has hosted major social, corporate and entertainment events, his journey reflects passion, consistency and a willingness to keep evolving.
