Former presidential candidate Peter Obi has voiced concerns over the state of Nigeria’s electoral and judicial institutions, alleging that certain academics, lawmakers and senior lawyers have contributed to the erosion of the country’s democratic system.
Obi questioned the effectiveness of institutions responsible for safeguarding Nigeria’s democratic process, stressing the importance of credible elections and an independent judicial system.
The former Anambra State governor also expressed concern over the role of influential professionals and public officials in shaping the country’s political and electoral landscape.
