The 31-year-old made his Super Eagles debut in March 2015 during an international friendly against Uganda, coming on for Anthony Ujah in the 59th minute.
Since then, Simon has established himself as a regular member of the national team. He currently has 99 appearances and 11 goals for Nigeria.
The Paris FC winger has featured in 64 competitive matches and 35 friendlies for the Super Eagles. His international record also includes 23 appearances at the Africa Cup of Nations and 22 matches in FIFA World Cup qualifying.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles defender Emmanuel Fernandez expects Madagascar to provide a stern test in Uyo.
Speaking to Football Fans Tribe, Fernandez said Nigeria would need to match Madagascar’s energy and resilience while showcasing their quality.
Nigeria have faced Madagascar five times in senior men’s international football, recording three wins, one defeat and one draw.
