Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has dismissed reports of a marital crisis involving her and her husband, Kolawole Ajeyemi.
A blogger, Bukky Jesse, had claimed that the couple were experiencing issues and that Toyin had moved out of their marital home into a newly built house.
Reacting to the report in a blog’s comment section, Abraham offered a spiritual response, insisting that there was no crisis in her marriage.
She also prayed against divorce, declaring that separation was not part of their destiny and covering their union with prayers.
“We are not in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is not our destiny; it is not our creator,” she wrote.
This is not the first time Toyin Abraham’s marriage to Kolawole Ajeyemi has been surrounded by reports of a possible crisis.
In 2023, her colleague, Wumi Toriola, reacted to reports alleging that she had an affair with Kolawole. Toriola dismissed the claim, questioning why some people remained determined to tarnish others’ reputations and create unnecessary conflict.
A year earlier, in 2022, reports also surfaced alleging that Toyin and Kolawole were experiencing difficulties in their marriage. The reports centred on claims about Toyin’s attitude towards certain family matters, including allegations that she refused to accompany her husband to church and sometimes stayed away from home for days. The couple, however, dismissed the reports and continued to publicly demonstrate their commitment to their union.
In September, Kolawole penned a heartfelt birthday message to Toyin, describing her as his “bestie in the whole world” while wishing her happiness, good health and love. He also celebrated her birthday by gifting her a new G-Wagon.
Earlier this year, the couple shared loved-up photos from a family wedding. While Kolawole described Toyin as a part of him in his caption, Toyin referred to them as “Mr and Mrs Ajeyemi.”
Amid Toyin’s renewed feud with Funke Akindele, Kolawole also publicly appreciated his wife for always listening to him. He noted that although Toyin wanted to speak out, she had chosen to remain silent because of his advice.
On International Women’s Day, Kolawole celebrated Toyin, describing her as his “beautiful and strong wife.”
When Toyin’s movie earnings surpassed N1 billion at the box office, Kolawole thanked God and the public for supporting his wife. He also congratulated her after she received the Golden Legends Honour Medal at the All-Star Charity event.
