Kasope Shares Heartfelt Story of Faith and Healing in New Gospel Song “Bámiṣé”
Nigerian-British gospel artist Kasope unveils “Bámiṣé” (Help Me / Do It for Me), a deeply moving gospel song inspired by his personal journey of faith, grief, and complete dependence on God.
The song captures the vulnerable moments when life becomes uncertain and finding the strength to move forward feels difficult. Through its heartfelt lyrics and powerful message, “Bámiṣé” serves as a sincere prayer for divine help, intervention, and direction.
Written over a six-year period following the passing of Kasope’s mother in 2019, the song reflects his journey of navigating grief while holding firmly to his faith. Interestingly, the chorus was written before her passing, while the verses and bridge took shape in the years that followed, capturing the emotions and spiritual reflections that defined his experience.
Produced by Olaitan Dada, “Bámiṣé” goes beyond a traditional worship song. It is a personal prayer turned into music, offering listeners a message of hope, surrender, and trust in God. Through this heartfelt release, Kasope encourages everyone facing personal struggles, uncertainty, or difficult seasons to bring their burdens before God and simply pray, “Bámiṣé.”
