SIRDAVE – Official Artist Biography
SIRDAVE, professionally known as Olabisi David Ibukunmi, is an independent Nigerian Afrobeats artist from Ilesha, Osun State. A proud Ijesha son, SIRDAVE is driven by a passion for music, creative expression and the power of storytelling through sound.
His musical journey began at an early age, fueled by his love for music and the encouragement of his childhood friend, Ariyo Victor, popularly known as Grade. Together, their early musical experiences helped nurture his passion and laid the foundation for his artistic aspirations.
SIRDAVE’s creative journey continued during his time at Osun State College of Education, where he served as the Student Union Social Director. In this role, he was actively involved in organizing and performing at campus events, concerts and award shows, further developing his stage presence, performance skills and connection with audiences.
Over the years, SIRDAVE has released songs including Issokay and LoverBoy, showcasing his evolving sound and commitment to building a distinct musical identity. His style blends Afrobeats with soulful expression, relatable experiences and captivating melodies.
As an independent artist, SIRDAVE continues to pursue his musical vision, connecting with listeners through authentic storytelling and a sound inspired by love, life and personal experiences.
His upcoming single, MineOhMine, scheduled for release on November 13, 2026, represents a deeply personal chapter in his musical journey. Produced by Mekoyo, the heartfelt Afrobeats love song is inspired by his 20-year relationship with his wife, which began in 2006.
The title MineOhMine originated from a special name he saved his wife’s phone contact under, inspired by the legendary Paul IK Dairo’s song ANGEL OF NY LIFE, which was one of his favourite songs around the time they met. The song celebrates loyalty, lasting affection and the beautiful aspiration of growing old together.
With MineOhMine, SIRDAVE brings a personal love story to life through music, inviting listeners to connect with a message of commitment and enduring love.
