Wizkid’s official disc jockey, DJ Tunez, has sparked controversy after publicly criticising Burna Boy’s music amid an ongoing feud between both camps.
The tension reportedly traces back to an incident in April when Burna Boy and members of his team were alleged to have assaulted DJ Tunez at Obi’s House in Lagos. The matter later led to the DJs Association of Nigeria temporarily suspending Burna Boy pending investigation.
During a recent performance at a London club, DJ Tunez reignited the controversy after playing Burna Boy’s hit track “Last Last”, muting the vocals midway and referring to the song as “rubbish.”
The comment drew mixed reactions from the crowd, with some cheering while others expressed disapproval. A video of the incident has since gone viral online.
The development has also triggered heated debates on social media, with many users criticising DJ Tunez for escalating the feud and warning that it could provoke further backlash from Burna Boy’s supporters.
