Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa has publicly celebrated his wife, gospel singer Mercy Chinwo, ahead of his 40th birthday.
In a post shared on Instagram, the clergyman expressed gratitude to God for the role Mercy has played in his life, describing her as a source of favour, growth, and divine grace. According to him, his life took on a new meaning after their union, marked by increase and evidence of God’s blessings.
Pastor Blessed described Mercy as more than just a wife, calling her his “partner in purpose,” a vessel of grace, and the mother of their children. He added that he deeply honours and appreciates her support throughout their journey together.
“As I step into 40, I do so with deep gratitude to God for purpose, growth, and the grace that has carried me. With you, my life found a new dimension marked by increase, favour, and undeniable evidence of God’s hand,” he wrote.
The clergyman further revealed that his upcoming birthday celebration on June 7 would be dedicated to giving glory to God, noting that the milestone represents fulfilment beyond age.
Pastor Blessed has repeatedly spoken publicly about his admiration for his wife. In a recent post, he praised Mercy’s grace and encouraged people to serve God faithfully so they could receive the right life partner. On Mother’s Day, he also celebrated her dedication as a mother and wife, describing her as loving, strong, and devoted to her family.
Speaking about Mercy Chinwo’s music career, Pastor Blessed previously recounted how the singer chose to remain in gospel music after winning Nigerian Idol in 2012 despite opportunities to go secular. According to him, her decision to remain obedient to her faith came with sacrifices, including years of waiting and growth.
The couple got married in August 2022 in a star-studded ceremony held in Port Harcourt, attended by celebrities including Banky W, Adesua Etomi, Waje, and Joe Praize.
In August 2025, the couple celebrated their third wedding anniversary, with Mercy Chinwo describing their union as years filled with love, grace, and God’s guidance. The same month, they also welcomed their second child, a baby girl, and expressed gratitude for the support and prayers they received from fans and loved ones.
