Nigerian nightlife entrepreneur Mike Nwogu, popularly known as Pretty Mike, has finally lifted the veil on why he constantly pulls off jaw-dropping, dramatic entrances at public events.
From arriving with unique entourages to rocking bizarre costumes, the socialite told Echo Room that he views his headline-grabbing stunts purely as entertainment and performance art, rather than something negative.
Pretty Mike admitted that he calculates the risks before making a scene, knowing full well that public reaction can swing from high praise to heavy backlash. However, he has spent years building a psychological armor against the internet's opinions.
“I see it as part of the business," Pretty Mike shared. "Before I do anything, I already know it can go either way, so I prepare myself mentally. Over the years, I have developed a thick skin... I always tell myself that after a few days, the noise will fade."
Surprisingly, the socialite revealed he doesn't use a creative agency. Many of his viral ideas come to him spontaneously upon waking up, describing some concepts as feeling "divine." When it comes to funding his elaborate displays, Pretty Mike insists there is no budget limit. Where others spend money on vacations or standard partying, he chooses to invest his capital into unforgettable creative expressions.
