Shatta Wale Once Bailed Burna Boy Out of a Ghanaian Jail, Former Signee Claims

Former Shatta Movement signee Captan has dropped a bombshell, claiming that Nigerian Afrobeats giant Burna Boy was once arrested in Ghana for marijuana possession and was only released thanks to Shatta Wale's intervention.

According to Naija Brain, Captan shared these details during a recent podcast interview, reflecting on the historical relationship between Burna Boy and the Shatta Movement camp.

"I once bailed Burna Boy out of prison in Ghana when he was arrested for smoking weed. Shatta Wale sent me and some guys to go and free him from police custody," Captan revealed, noting that he personally spearheaded the rescue mission.

While Captan didn't specify the date or location of the alleged arrest, he didn't stop there. He further claimed that Shatta Wale’s team once provided safe accommodation and protection for the Grammy winner when "dangerous individuals" were hunting him down.

While the two music powerhouses used to be close friends, their public fallout ultimately soured Burna Boy's relationship with the entire Shatta Movement camp. However, Captan emphasized that the bridge isn't entirely burned, stating that both he and Shatta Wale are open to a reconciliation if Burna Boy extends an olive branch.
