Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has finally addressed long-standing rumors of a past romance with the late Yoruba film actress, Allwell Ademola. Speaking in an interview with Oyinmomo TV, Salami flatly denied the claims, stating he generally tunes out industry gossip. In fact, he revealed that he only learned about the rumor when Ademola herself brought it to his attention.
Salami emphasized that public chatter doesn't dictate how he interacts with his colleagues, preferring instead to focus strictly on his career. However, he made it clear that his marriage comes first. "If my wife says she was not comfortable with our relationship, I would withdraw because she is the only person I am answerable to," he stated, adding that he would immediately distance himself from any friendship that made his wife uneasy.
Reflecting on Ademola’s tragic passing from cardiac arrest at age 49 in December 2025, Salami described the loss as a sudden and painful shock. He noted that while she lived with asthma, she was always incredibly diligent about her well-being. "She’s been asthmatic, doesn’t joke with her health or medications... always had her inhaler," Salami shared, concluding that ultimately, "I just believed it’s her time."
