Nollywood actress Omeche Oko is currently receiving medical treatment after sustaining injuries in a motorbike accident while filming a movie in Lagos.
Naija Brain reports that the incident occurred just three days before the actress's birthday.
Oko shared a video of the accident on her Instagram page on Wednesday, capturing the moment the crash happened during a movie shoot.
According to the footage, she was riding on a motorcycle with fellow actor Victory Michael when the bike reportedly lost control and crashed into a pole at the filming location.
The impact left both actors injured. While Victory Michael reportedly struck his chest against the pole and briefly lost consciousness, Oko suffered a fractured leg.
Crew members and colleagues at the scene quickly rushed the injured actors to a hospital for treatment. However, details of the medical facility were not disclosed.
Reacting to the incident, Oko described it as a near-death experience and highlighted the risks actors often face in the course of their work.
Expressing gratitude for surviving the crash, she wrote: “Life is very very fragile. It could have been a different story but God said No. If you see an actor today, give them a hug. We take a lot of risks for the craft. All I can say is thank you God.”

Following the accident, several Nollywood actors and film producers flooded the comment section of her post with prayers and wishes for a speedy recovery.
Among those who expressed support were Mofe Duncan, Chinenye Nnebe, Chizzy Alichi Mbah, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, Nosa Rex, Chidi Dike, Tonia Aladese, Doris Ifeka and Onyi Alex.
Film producers Uche Nancy and Toyosi Etim Effiong also joined others in sending goodwill messages and prayers for her quick recovery.
