Nigerian Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has disclosed that he spends between $200,000 and $300,000 (about ₦300 million to ₦400 million) every month to maintain his lifestyle.
Naija Brain reports that the award-winning singer made the revelation during a recent livestream with popular streamer Davrel, where he explained that being a celebrity comes with enormous financial responsibilities.
Davido noted that the estimated monthly spending does not include expenses for his wife, Chioma Adeleke, or other members of his household.
He said, “I spend between $200,000 and $300,000 every month and that doesn’t even include my wife’s expenses or the rest of my household.
“It also doesn’t include expenses for the purchase of luxury cars and jewellery.”
Davido Reacts To Ozonna Soludo’s Viral Video
Meanwhile, Davido recently reacted to a viral video featuring Ozonna Soludo, son of Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo, dancing to a song that referenced some of Nigeria’s top political figures.
The clip, which gained widespread attention on social media, showed Ozonna singing and dancing to the controversial track, despite the lyrics mentioning his father alongside President Bola Tinubu and other prominent politicians.
Many Nigerians expressed surprise that Ozonna appeared unbothered by the song's references to his father, sparking debate across social media platforms.
Davido also joined the conversation after the video surfaced online. The DMW boss appeared amused by the moment and left a playful comment suggesting that Ozonna was unfazed by any potential backlash over his participation in the video.
