| Nnadozie Receives Promised House After WAFCON Win |
Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has officially received the documents for the house promised to members of Nigeria’s victorious 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) squad.
The presentation was confirmed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Monday through a post on its official 𝕏 account.
Photos shared by the federation showed NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau, accompanied by the federation’s Director of Competitions, Ruth David, presenting the property documents to the Paris FC goalkeeper.

The NFF did not indicate whether the remaining members of the championship-winning squad had also received their housing documents.
Naija Brain reports that Nigeria claimed a record-extending 10th WAFCON title after producing a stunning comeback to defeat hosts Morocco 3-2 in the 2024 final.
Following the historic triumph, President Bola Tinubu announced a reward package that included $100,000 for each player, $50,000 for every member of the backroom staff, and a house for each member of the title-winning team.
Although the incentives were announced shortly after the victory, the players had not publicly confirmed receiving the cash rewards. The presentation of the housing documents began on Monday with Nnadozie becoming the first player publicly shown receiving hers.
Last weekend, Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Shehu Dikko, disclosed that the handover was deliberately scheduled to coincide with the Super Falcons' arrival in Morocco for the defence of their continental crown.
“I am leaving Glasgow for Morocco this week to present keys to the houses, which His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu, promised the Super Falcons after they won the last edition of the WAFCON. Even their $100,000 has been paid into their various bank accounts,” Dikko said.
He added that the timing was intended to inspire the team ahead of the tournament.
“We decided to delay the presentation of the keys because we wanted a situation whereby the players would be together. I am sure it will boost their morale ahead of the 2026 WAFCON, which kicks off in Morocco in a few days.”
The Super Falcons enter the 2026 WAFCON as defending champions and Africa’s most successful women’s national team with 10 continental titles.
Nigeria will begin its Group C campaign against Malawi on Tuesday before taking on Zambia on August 1 and Egypt on August 5.
The tournament, scheduled to run from July 26 to August 16 in Morocco, also serves as Africa’s qualifying competition for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil. The four semi-finalists will secure automatic qualification, while one additional team will have an opportunity to qualify through the intercontinental play-offs.
