Tyla Quietly Removes Lagos From 2026 World Tour Following Backlash From Nigerians

South African singer Tyla has dropped Lagos from the schedule of her A*POP World Tour, days after her planned performance in Nigeria sparked widespread reactions online.

The concert became a topic of heated debate after renewed reports of xenophobic attacks against Nigerians and other African migrants in South Africa resurfaced, prompting many Nigerians to question the timing of the show and call for the singer to address the issue.

An updated version of Tyla's tour itinerary no longer features the Lagos stop, intensifying speculation that the decision came in the wake of the online backlash. However, neither the award-winning artiste nor her management has publicly explained why the Nigerian date was removed.

The development has generated mixed responses on social media, with some fans expressing disappointment over the cancellation, while others argued that the move was unsurprising given the controversy surrounding the proposed concert.

For now, Tyla has remained silent on the matter, leaving supporters and critics alike waiting for an official explanation behind the removal of Lagos from her 2026 world tour schedule.
