Whitemoney Blames Nigeria's Dating Culture for Being Single at 35
Former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate, Hazel Oyeze Onou, popularly known as Whitemoney, has blamed Nigeria's dating culture for his continued single status, saying the financial expectations in many relationships have made it difficult to find a life partner.
Naija Brain reports that the reality TV star made the remarks in a recent video shared on his social media page, where he admitted he is becoming increasingly concerned about still being unmarried at the age of 35.
According to Whitemoney, many women are more focused on financial demands than building meaningful relationships, a trend he described as discouraging.
The BBNaija winner, however, stressed that he is ready to settle down and is patiently waiting for the right woman.
He said, "I can't even lie, I'm getting old. But the dating culture in Nigeria is something else. I need a wife. Where do they find good women?
"A lot of Nigerian girls now, any small thing, billing, especially in Lagos. They don't care to ask, 'Can we build?' It's difficult to find the right woman nowadays."
Whitemoney Reacts to Fiancée's Viral Video
Meanwhile, Whitemoney recently stirred reactions online after a video surfaced showing his fiancée, Emmanuella Iloba, appearing to kiss actor Chike Daniels.
The clip quickly generated widespread reactions across social media, prompting Whitemoney to respond in the comment section.
Reacting to the video, he wrote, "This my wife self 😂", suggesting a mix of surprise and amusement.
Emmanuella, however, was quick to reassure him and their followers that the clip was not genuine.
Responding to Whitemoney's comment, she wrote, "@whitemoney___ It's not real, my love. You're the only one who matters to me!", dismissing speculation surrounding the viral video.
