Afrobeats sensation Davido, born David Adeleke, has revealed plans to host a concert residency in Lagos this December, saying the idea was inspired by the success of Bad Bunny's residency performances in Puerto Rico.
The Grammy-nominated singer explained that watching the Latin music star transform his home city into a global entertainment destination motivated him to create a similar experience in Nigeria.
According to Davido, the proposed residency will celebrate Lagos' vibrant culture while allowing fans to enjoy a series of live performances in one location.
The singer said he is preparing to unveil full details of the project, which is expected to be one of the highlights of Nigeria's end-of-year entertainment calendar.
While the venue, dates and ticket information are yet to be disclosed, Davido hinted that an official announcement is imminent.
If realised, the Lagos residency would mark another milestone in the Afrobeats star's career, reinforcing his commitment to promoting Nigeria's music industry and positioning Lagos as a leading destination for world-class live entertainment.
