Nollywood actress Oluwafunlayo Obafemi has recounted a harrowing incident in which her husband allegedly stormed their home with a firearm and discharged a shot while veteran actor Odunlade Adekola was inside during a film shoot.

Speaking in an interview with Feelrightnews TV on Tuesday, as reported by Naija Brain, Obafemi disclosed that the confrontation occurred after her production crew relocated to her residence due to an unsuitable initial venue.

Obafemi explained that she opted to use her home, located near the original site, without notifying her husband, assuming production would wrap up before his return. However, an acquaintance reportedly alerted him to the crew's presence.

Upon learning of the unsanctioned shoot, Obafemi's husband returned home enraged, allegedly firing a gun at a window while Adekola was present in the building. According to the actress, Adekola managed to flee the property unharmed by scaling a perimeter fence.

Recounting the ordeal, Obafemi attributed the actor's safe escape to divine intervention.

“One day we went to shoot a movie. When we arrived at the venue, the chair we wanted to use was not suitable for the work. My house was nearby, so we decided to shoot there,” she said.

“I did not tell my husband because I thought we would have finished before he returned. But one of my neighbours told him, and he came back angrily. He stormed into the house and shot at the window. It was God that saved Odunlade Adekola as he escaped through the fence.”
