Nkechi Blessing Urges Trolls to Stop Mocking Women Over Marriage, Childlessness
Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has called on social media users to stop attacking, mocking or shaming women over their marital status, age or inability to have children.
The actress made the appeal in a recent Instagram post while addressing women who are praying and hoping for marriage, children and other personal desires.
Blessing also warned women to be cautious of individuals who claim to have spiritual messages or prophecies concerning their lives, particularly on sensitive issues such as marriage and childbirth.
According to her, women seeking divine intervention should not accept every prophecy they hear, as some individuals could exploit their personal struggles for selfish reasons.
She urged women to exercise wisdom and discernment when dealing with people who claim to have supernatural insight into their future.
The actress further condemned the activities of social media trolls who make hurtful comments about women who are unmarried, getting older or unable to have children.
She appealed to online users to refrain from making jokes or cruel remarks about issues they may not fully understand, stressing that many women could be dealing with private struggles.
Blessing wrote: “In everything you do in this life, and as a woman seeking the face of God for anything. Be it a child, husband, or anything at all. Please and please beware of fake prophecy.
“And to you godforsaken demons called online trolls, take it easy on always reminding a woman she’s getting old and unmarried, childless, etc. You never know the battles they fight behind the scenes. May God grant us long life.”
Her message has sparked renewed conversations about the pressure women face over marriage, motherhood and age, particularly on social media.
