Odumodublvck Clashes With Police Over Arrest Attempt
Nigerian rapper, Odumodublvck, reportedly confronted police officers during an event on Saturday morning after they attempted to take him into custody.
A video of the incident, which has gone viral on social media, shows the rapper challenging the officers over the reason for their action and refusing to leave the venue with them.
Naija Brain reports that one of the police officers claimed Odumodublvck had previously been invited to meet with the police.
The officer questioned why the rapper was refusing to follow them and asked whether he was resisting arrest.
“Invitation was sent to you, it’s okay. What I want to ask you now, are you resisting an arrest? If you’re not resisting an arrest, tell me why you are not following the police?” the officer asked.
However, Odumodublvck insisted that the matter had already been handled by his legal representatives.
The rapper questioned the officers’ jurisdiction to remove him from the venue, maintaining that he had no reason to accompany them.
“You don’t have any jurisdiction, that’s what you want to do. Don’t tell me to wait. My lawyers came to your office. I am not resisting arrest, it was attended to,” he said.
Odumodublvck further alleged that taking him away from the location would be illegal.
“It is illegal to take me from here, my brother. You’re telling me not to tweet, not to speak,” the rapper added.
The reason for the police officers’ attempt to take Odumodublvck into custody was not immediately clear from the video.
