Kamo Speaks On Funke Akindele’s Absence At Movie Premiere

Nigerian content creator-turned-actor, Kamo State, has broken his silence over the absence of his godmother, Funke Akindele, from the premiere of his debut cinema movie, Star Lomo.

The actress faced backlash on social media following her absence from the movie premiere held on Sunday, with speculation emerging that her absence was linked to an alleged disagreement between her and Kamo.

However, addressing the speculation, Kamo explained that Funke was unable to attend because she travelled outside the country.

He also urged members of the public to stop speculating about their relationship, stressing that they remain on good terms.

Kamo wrote on X:

“I woke up to see different opinions online about Iyamii and myself. Please, we are on good terms.

 

“She missed my premiere because she wasn’t in the country. So please don’t assume otherwise. We have spoken about it, and she is going to support this film.

 

“I would appreciate it if our personal relationship isn’t speculated on.”
