The family of late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba has announced plans for her burial, with the actress set to be laid to rest in Iperu Remo, Ogun State, on Thursday, September 10, 2026.
The family made this known in an obituary published on the actress’ Instagram page on Monday.
According to the burial arrangements, Osoba’s remains will leave the Ogun State University Teaching Hospital (OSUTH), Sagamu, at 9 a.m.
The burial service is scheduled to hold between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. at Akesan Club, opposite Iperu Morning Market, Iperu Remo.
The obituary reads: “Body leaves OSUTH Sagamu by 9am. Burial service Thursday 10th of September, 10:00am–11:00am, Akesan Club opposite Iperu Morning Market, Iperu Remo.”
The family further announced that the interment will take place at Iperu Remo Cemetery Ground immediately after the burial service.
Mourners and sympathisers have also been asked to observe white as the official dress code for the burial ceremony.
Osoba reportedly died in August 2026 at the age of 40, leaving colleagues, friends and fans mourning her death.
Her burial was initially postponed indefinitely by the family after an earlier burial date had been announced.
In a statement signed by the Osoba and Awonuga families, the family explained that the postponement followed the Candlelight and Artists’ Night organised in honour of the late actress.
The family said the delay was necessary to enable them to make additional arrangements and reach the required conclusions before announcing a new burial date.
