Chelsea will be without four players for their upcoming clash with Hull City, with manager Xabi Alonso confirming that Moisés Caicedo, Marco Palestra, Jordan Henderson and Emmanuel Emegha remain unavailable.
The quartet are set to miss the game as Chelsea continue to carefully manage their fitness and recovery. Alonso has stressed that the club will not take unnecessary risks by rushing any player back before they are fully ready.
Caicedo’s absence will be particularly significant for the Blues. The Ecuadorian midfielder has become an important figure in the squad, offering defensive cover while also helping the team progress the ball and control games.
Palestra, Henderson and Emegha will also remain sidelined, leaving Alonso to rely on the players available as Chelsea prepare to face Hull City.
Despite the absentees, Chelsea will be looking to return to winning ways, while the injured players will continue their rehabilitation without being rushed back into action.
The Blues struggled to maintain their midfield balance during the defeat to Arsenal without Caicedo. However, Chelsea will hope to find their rhythm again when they host Hull City.
