The Director-General of the alleged fake Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC), Adeniyi Adeyemi, was on Wednesday arraigned before a Federal High Court in Abuja over alleged forgery.
Adeyemi was arraigned before Justice Muhammed Umar on an eight-count charge bordering on forgery.
The Federal Government accused him of forging an appointment letter purportedly issued by President Bola Tinubu and signed by the President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.
He was brought to court by the police under heavy security and has remained in custody since his arrest.
