Nollywood actor Bucci Franklin recently opened up about the profound grief of losing his mother, urging fans to cherish their parents while they are still alive.
Speaking in an emotional interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the actor laid bare his experiences with loss, love, and family dynamics. Franklin revealed that the passing of his mother—whom he described as the most important person in his life—completely altered his worldview and taught him the true depth of love.
“I’ve come to understand that grief is a sign that you really did understand the meaning of love," Franklin shared. "You must lose someone before you know you can love.”
Reflecting on how his mother raised him and shaped the man he is today, the movie star grew visibly emotional. He used his platform to advise people never to let busy schedules or lingering family friction create a distance between them and their parents. Even for those with strained relationships, Franklin insisted that making an effort to connect is vital before it is too late.
He urged everyone to embrace the simple moments—calling just to talk or making their parents laugh—warning that a day will come when those opportunities will be gone forever.
