Victor Osimhen fires Galatasaray to title glory in Turkey

Victor Osimhen delivered another match-winning performance as Galatasaray were crowned champions of the Turkish Super Lig for the fourth consecutive season on Saturday.

The Nigerian striker scored twice in a dramatic 4-2 comeback victory over Antalyaspor to help his side officially secure the league title.

Galatasaray endured a difficult start to the encounter, falling behind twice during an intense contest. However, the Istanbul giants showed resilience and fighting spirit to bounce back and take control of the game in the second half.

Osimhen stepped up in the 66th minute, calmly converting a penalty to level the score and reignite Galatasaray’s title celebrations. The prolific forward then sealed the victory in the closing stages of the match, scoring again just two minutes from full-time to cap off an impressive outing.

The 27-year-old has been one of Galatasaray’s standout performers this season, consistently delivering goals and important contributions in key matches. So far, the Super Eagles star has recorded 15 goals and five assists in 22 league appearances for the Yellow and Reds, further underlining his importance to the team’s success.

Under the guidance of manager Okan Buruk, Galatasaray have enjoyed another dominant domestic campaign. The club currently sits at the top of the Turkish Super Lig table with 77 points from 33 matches, maintaining a four-point lead over fierce rivals Fenerbahçe with only one game remaining this season.

The latest triumph adds another historic achievement to Galatasaray’s impressive legacy and further cements their status as one of Turkey’s most successful football clubs. For Osimhen, the title-winning campaign marks yet another milestone in his rapidly growing career as he continues to shine both at club level and for Nigeria on the international stage.
