| Mark, Aregbesola Knock APC, Predict ADC Victory In Ekiti |
Ahead of Saturday’s off-cycle governorship election in Ekiti State, leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have launched a fierce critique against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), declaring the incumbent administration a failure.
Speaking on Tuesday at a well-attended mega rally in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, former Senate President and ADC National Chairman, David Mark, alongside former Osun State Governor and National Secretary, Rauf Aregbesola, expressed strong confidence that the opposition party is poised to clinch victory at the polls.
The rally, which drew thousands of supporters, served as the climax of the ADC’s campaign mobilization for its governorship candidate, Ambassador Dare Bejide.
Addressing the crowd, Mark urged Ekiti electorate to reject the ruling party and embrace the ADC as the only credible alternative capable of rescuing the state from its current economic hardships.
"The ruling party has failed to deliver any meaningful benefits to the citizens," Mark said. "The ADC possesses the capacity to address the severe economic challenges facing our people. We are fully committed to rescuing Ekiti from poverty and establishing a government that genuinely prioritizes human welfare."
On his part, Aregbesola dismissed assertions that the ADC lacks the necessary political structures to dismantle the APC’s dominance in the state, warning the ruling party against complacency.
The former Osun governor argued that a party's true strength is tested at the ballot box, not through rhetoric or claims of political monopoly.
“If they truly intend to go to the polls without manipulating or writing the results, they can never win this election,” Aregbesola asserted, insisting that the ADC would emerge victorious in a free, fair, and credible contest.
With the election just days away, the ADC leadership maintained that Ambassador Bejide represents the visionary leadership required to steer Ekiti State toward progress, urging residents to fiercely protect their votes.
