Yvonne Jegede Slams FG Over Insecurity: "Nigeria Government Lacks Humanity"

Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has boldly called out the Federal Government over Nigeria's escalating insecurity, accusing leadership of showing gross apathy toward the safety of its citizens.

Reacting to the relentless wave of killings, kidnappings, and violent crimes across the nation, Jegede took to Instagram to voice her frustration. According to a report by Naija Brain, the actress emphasized that the true crisis lies not just in the crimes themselves, but in the authorities' lackluster response to the victims and their families.

Tagging President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, Jegede argued that Nigerians have been left feeling entirely abandoned, with little to no hope of ever receiving justice. She stressed that criminal elements are targeting citizens indiscriminately—without regard for tribe, religion, or social class—leaving everyone vulnerable.

“Nigeria government lacks a sense of humanity," Jegede wrote. "@Asiwajubat @officialoluremitinubu Nigerians are not doormats nor people you just prey on. Crimes happen everywhere in the world, it is the fact that Nigerians know that no one will ever come looking for them is the issue. These atrocities have not been tribal, religious nor class-based.”
