Alexx Ekubo’s Sister Chioma Mourns Late Actor, Says ‘I’m Shattered Beyond Words’
The sister of late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo, Chioma, has expressed her profound grief following the actor’s death, saying his passing has left her heartbroken.
Naija Brain reports that Chioma took to her Instagram page on Wednesday to pay an emotional tribute to her late brother, lamenting the void his absence has created in her life.
Describing Alexx as her “angel being,” she said she had always looked forward to growing old with him and cherishing the laughter, advice and memories they shared.
According to her, the actor’s death has left her shattered, adding that she still struggles to come to terms with the painful reality of losing him.
She wrote, “My ANGELBEING, it’s been a cold Earth since you left with your warmth. How do I navigate life without you in it, my brother? This was not the plan NNAM. I always looked forward to old age with you, your jokes, your advices and admonition. You hurt me brother by taking off the way you did without a proper goodbye. I’m shattered beyond words. Hardly a second goes by without thoughts of you. I hope you are watching and not silent.”
Pete Edochie Pays Tribute To Alexx Ekubo
Meanwhile, veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has also mourned Alexx Ekubo’s passing, describing him as a cheerful, energetic and kind-hearted actor whose impact on Nigeria’s film industry will not be forgotten.
Speaking in an interview with PM News, Edochie recalled the few occasions he met the late actor, noting that each encounter left a lasting impression because of Ekubo’s warm personality.
The veteran actor recounted how Ekubo once visited him at his hotel with a cow and a group of Ogene drummers to invite him to an event, a gesture he described as unforgettable.
Edochie further revealed that the late actor had discussed plans to celebrate his 80th birthday next year, a milestone that will now never be realised following Ekubo’s death.
He also praised Nollywood actor IK Ogbonna for his unwavering loyalty to Ekubo, stating that the actor remained a devoted friend both during his lifetime and after his passing.
