| The Psalmists |
The Psalmists is the revival of a lifelong dream shared by two brothers, Patrick and Sylvester Enwere, who aspired to sing for God's glory during their teenage years in the mid-1980s. Patrick played the guitar, while Sylvester played the keyboard. Although they performed as side attractions at various events and participated in Christian music competitions, they were unable to fully pursue their musical calling at the time.
Years later, strengthened by deeper spiritual growth, life experience, and greater financial stability, the brothers reunited in 2025 to fulfill the vision they had carried since their youth. Their songs are deeply rooted in prayer, worship, and meditation on God's Word, reflecting their passion for sharing the message of Christ through music.
Their song, "Greater Is He," celebrates the transforming power of a life lived in Jesus Christ. It highlights what Christ accomplishes in the lives of those who trust and worship Him. More than 80 percent of the song's lyrics are drawn directly from Scripture, making it a powerful declaration of biblical truth.
The title, "Greater Is He," speaks for itself. It is not a song of pride or self-exaltation, but a heartfelt testimony born from the personal experiences of The Psalmists. It proclaims that Jesus empowers believers to live extraordinary lives, overcome the challenges of the world, develop the spiritual resources He has placed within them, and partner with God in fulfilling His divine purpose on earth.
Lyrics: Greater is He by The Psalmists
LYRICS
We preach Christ crucified
Unto Jews a stumblingblock,
Unto Greeks a foolishness;
But to us, the wisdom of God.
He gives his power to the faint
and to them that have no might
He increases their strength
In his hands is sure victory
So, we will walk and not get weary
We will run and never faint
Greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world
He makes his angels spirits
And his ministers flaming fire
He warns the world not to harm us
He reproves kings for our sake
So, we will walk and not get weary
We will run and never faint
Greater is he that is in us
than he that is in the world
But those that wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength
They shall mount up with wings like the eagles. They shall run and not be weary
Walk and not faint.
Run and not be weary
Walk and never faint
Yeah.
Now, brethren, it's time for us to praise the Lord
Let the world hear and
Let the world know
That we serve a God that's worthy
Sing to the Lord (Praise. Praise)
Chant to the Lord (Praise, praid)
Alleluia praise (Praise, praise).
Sing to the Lord ((Praise, praise)
All his holy ones are at his hands.
They go facedown at his feet
They are lifted up on his wings
And there is no mountain so high.
So, we will walk and not get weary
We will run and never faint
Greater is he that is in us
than he that is in the world
