The actress made the statement during an interview on the African A-List podcast on YouTube.
When asked if she would accept money to endorse or support a politician, Ronke said people should understand that she is simply trying to make a living.
She said: “If you see me behind any politician, anybody, just see it as if she is looking for something to put food on the table. Just leave, let her eat. Do not insult or drag me.”
Ronke Oshodi-Oke also declined to delve deeply into Nigerian politics, describing the political system as “dirty.”
She maintained that everyone has the right to vote for whoever they choose.
She added: “Nigeria politics is dirt, so I do not want to talk about it. I am not saying you should not vote for whoever you want to vote for.”
The actress had earlier opened up about a challenging period in her life when she battled a serious health condition and reportedly spent as much as ₦800,000 monthly on medication.
Speaking about the financial burden of her treatment, Ronke revealed that the cost of her medication became difficult to manage.
She expressed gratitude to God, APC chieftain Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, and some of her colleagues for supporting her during the difficult period.
