Tacha Arrested: Police Reportedly Pick Up BBNaija Star in Lagos
Big Brother Naija star, Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has reportedly been arrested by the Nigerian Police Force (NPF).
The reported arrest of Tacha was disclosed by Nigerian movie producer and Chief Executive Officer of Best of Nollywood (BON), Seun Oloketuyi, in a post shared on his Instagram page on Sunday.
According to Oloketuyi, Tacha was arrested at her residence in Ajah, Lagos, after allegedly failing to honour three invitations reportedly sent to her by the police between May and August 2026.
He wrote: *“Tacha has been arrested today by NPF.
“Arrested early this morning after she was sent three invitations between May and August by NPF-NCCC, but she decided not to honour the invitations until she was picked up at her residence early this morning in Ajah.”*
The circumstances surrounding Tacha’s reported arrest have generated reactions online, with many Nigerians seeking clarification on why the reality TV star was invited by the police.
Tacha may have been arrested over alleged false rape and human trafficking claims made against an unidentified man on social media.
In a viral video, the BBNaija star accused the man of allegedly trafficking young people to Europe under the guise of offering them scholarships.
She also accused him of rape and child molestation while warning members of the public to be cautious of him.
The video has since circulated widely across social media platforms.
Tacha Speaks About Late Mother
Meanwhile, Tacha recently spoke about the impact her late mother had on her life and career.
In an interview with Daily Sun, the reality star reflected on her journey from becoming a household name through Big Brother Naija to building a career in business and the entertainment industry.
Tacha said her mother’s hardworking and prayerful nature continues to inspire her, even after her death.
According to the BBNaija star, she remains determined to make her late mother proud through her achievements.
She said: “I had a very hardworking and prayerful mother. Even though she’s late, I always feel the need and urge to make her proud. If she had the same opportunity I have right now, she would do everything I have done and even more. That is why I keep being me.”
