The Ondo State Government has dissolved the boards of several parastatals and commissions following the end of their tenure.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, and shared on the state government’s official X account.
According to the statement, the affected bodies include the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), the Local Government Service Commission, the Muslim Welfare Board, and the Christian Welfare Board.
It also noted that Education Secretaries across all 18 Local Government Areas have completed their tenure and are included in the directive.
All affected chairmen, commissioners, board members, and education secretaries have been instructed to hand over immediately to the most senior administrative officers in their respective offices.
“The Ondo State Government announces the expiration of tenure and the resulting dissolution of the Boards of some parastatals and commissions in the State, effective immediately,” the statement said.
The government emphasized that the handover process should be conducted smoothly in accordance with established administrative procedures.
Governor Aiyedatiwa thanked the outgoing officials for their service, acknowledging their contributions to governance and development during their time in office.
New appointments to the affected agencies are expected to be announced in due course as part of ongoing administrative restructuring.
