The naira snapped its streak of depreciation against the United States dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Wednesday.
Data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) showed that the local currency closed at N1,370.56/$1 at the official window, improving from N1,375.62/$1 recorded on Tuesday.
This indicates an appreciation of N5.06 against the dollar.
However, at the parallel market, the naira weakened by N6 to exchange at N1,400/$1, compared to N1,396/$1 the previous day.
Against the British pound, the naira also declined by N5, closing at N1,885/£1 from N1,880/£1 recorded earlier.
The local currency remained unchanged against the Canadian dollar at N1,100/CA$1.
Similarly, the naira depreciated by N5 against the euro, trading at N1,625/€1 compared to N1,620/€1 previously.
